smallville: saving my mental health
We all have our coping mechanisms; those things we turn to in times of high stress or periods of mental unwellness. For me, during my hardest fought battles with depression, Smallville saved me (pun intended).

That creek though. OK, I didn’t care too much about the creek - the only body of water I was familiar with during my teens was the London Thames, and it wasn’t a place you took a gentle swim in, unless you had decided to give up on life that day.
